How it works

1. Discovery

A short engagement at a fixed fee. We sit with the people who do the work, map the workflow, and write a spec: what the software does, what it doesn’t, and what it costs to build.

If you go ahead with the build, the discovery fee comes off the build price. If you don’t, you keep the spec and owe us nothing further. Either way you end up with a document you can hand to anyone.

2. Build

A fixed price against the spec. We build on Aqvori where it fits and custom where it doesn’t. You see working software at milestones, not at the end.

3. Subscription

When it goes live, you subscribe. The subscription covers:

• Hosting and backups
• Security patching and monitoring
• Support
• Upkeep as browsers, integrations, and your business change

Ninety days of defect warranty after go-live. After that, the subscription covers it.

What the subscription is not

• Not hourly. Change requests are scoped and priced, not metered.
• Not a maintenance contract for software we didn’t build.
• Not an audit or compliance engagement. We build to pass them; we don’t run them.

If you’d rather own it outright

Most clients subscribe. If you’d rather own the software outright, we do that too — it costs more up front, and we hand it over when it’s done. Tell us on the call and we’ll price both.

Ownership

On a subscription, Pontos owns and licenses the platform code. You own your data, either way.

Terms

Subscriptions carry a minimum term. Specifics are in the agreement we send after discovery.
